The Center for Ethics and Education brings philosophy into education.
We organize conversations with philosophers, educators, and researchers about policy and practice. We support work that brings the tools and perspectives of contemporary moral and political philosophy to address concrete problems that arise in educational policy and practice.
To address this goal and share our findings, we approach our outreach work through three simultaneous methodologies alongside other projects:
We produce a podcast, where we broadcast thoughtful conversations and inquiries about ethical dilemmas in education, from K-12 through higher ed.
We develop teaching guides for instructors to use with their undergrads in education, sociology, and philosophy classes.
And, we write this newsletter for a wider audience to engage with our work and stay in touch with us and the field of philosophy of education.
This Newsletter: A compilation of philosophers and undergraduates, this newsletter features the voices of those engaged in the intersection of philosophy and education. Formatted as a series of columns that feature interviews, lecture and podcast summaries, news, and more; the newsletter brings the inner workings of the Center for Ethics and Education to the public in real time.
People: Meet our whole team here.
